First of all, let’s have a Personality Test. Oh! I am not a psychologist though, but this one could at least help you figure out what job would you think is fitted for you in freelancing. I’ve heard a lot of hesitations from friends and random people in my daily encounters about questioning their capacities when it comes to transforming from corporate jobs to digital jobs. How does introvert or extrovert will deal in digital jobs?
So to have a clearer view of that let us define first:
What is an Introvert?
By definition, an introvert is often thought of as a quiet, reserved, and thoughtful individual. They don’t seek out special attention or social engagements, as these events can leave introverts feeling exhausted and drained. There are four different types of introversion: social, thinking, anxious, and restrained. Every introvert has these traits to varying degrees.
There is a lot of evidence out there that shows introvert people are more intelligent on average. For example, a study done by The Gifted Development Center showed that 60 percent of gifted children are introvert. In addition, studies also show that introverts are more verbally intelligent than extroverts.
How about an Extrovert?
Most people believe that an extrovert is a person who is friendly and outgoing. While it may be true, that is not the full meaning of extroversion. An extrovert is a person who is energized by being around other people. Although, this is the opposite of an introvert who is energized by being alone.
On the positive side, extroverts are often described as talkative, sociable, action-oriented, enthusiastic, friendly, and out-going. On the negative side, they are sometimes described as attention-seeking, easily distracted, and unable to spend time alone. Moreover, extroverts enjoy being at the center of attention, Enjoys group work, Feels isolated by too much time spent alone, Likes to communicate by talking, Likes to talk about thoughts and feelings, Looks to others and outside sources for ideas and inspiration, Numerous, broad interests, and Tends to act first before thinking.
So, which one do you think are you? Introvert or Extrovert?
Now that you are able to identify these two personalities and I know you can relate to each of the personalities and others might also be a combination of both, it is very important to identify yourself so you can choose what type of job can you be fitted perfectly well.

Which personality do you think is perfect in becoming an effective freelancer? Introvert or Extrovert?
No specific answer. Because both are considered effective.
So as a freelancer and a person dealing with digital jobs, finding your way in the digital world is a must to make a clearer view of what you can really do and what you are capable of. Your personality whether you’re an introvert or an extrovert can actually be a combination of both also in digital jobs. So either of the two is perfect for digital jobs. Why? Because of the advantage of one-on-one gaps. You don’t see or encounter who you are working with all the time.
If you are an extrovert, like the vloggers, you can always do things by showing off your talents and skills and impressing your target audience. If you are an introvert like a Web Designer, you can also show off your skills and impress your clients. Moreover, though, an introvert is an advantage in freelancing and considered the most effective one. Why? Because it is not all the time about the force of your personality, or charisma or how vocal you can be. The strength of ideas, the quality of your outputs, and deliverables are the most important things to consider. In addition, how you work is how you sell in freelancing. You need not be showing off too much. So the pressure is more in your thinking and how your mind works.
However, both personalities can actually sell and earn digitally and both are effective in freelancing. Freelancing is very dynamic, it does not only stop in one or two specific skills. Other freelancers are a combination of both and are rock stars online.
As a freelancer, you have to be open to explore all the possibilities. Also, try new skills and never stop learning online. You can be a writer and create your own website, even if you are not an IT graduate. Yes! That’s possible. You can also be a vlogger and create your own website as well to show the world how great you are as a person.
Why do I say “create a website”? Because as a freelancer you need one, you can deliver anything, you are capable of and sell your masterpieces effectively if you have your own website. All freelancers, VAs, digital experts do not just concentrate on social media platforms. At the same time, they all have websites.
So if you have a career plan to go on freelancing, whether you are an introvert or extrovert, it is important to plan to build your own website. You can start building your competitive website even without any knowledge about coding. You can build a website depending on what you want it to be so you could offer your services or sell your products.
